I began taking a class with my aunt Jeanne Sisson at the Green Trees Gallery in Spring of 2005. Batik is a wax and dye resist process on stretched fabric. I fell in love with it right away. I began writing upon the fabric. I was able to connect my love of writing with my love of paint and color. The words have become like a pattern and a visual technique.
